Theres something about life drawing that is pure and relaxing. Maybe it's knowing that is not for a job or that you can just flip the page and draw another pose. Either way it's a great way to know ones interests as well as weaknesses.

NEW FIGURE WORK
Hey guys,
I took some time today to post some of my recent live figure work, live meaning that it was done in front of an audience. Jane and I love doing this, in a since its like showing people the backbone of art - the essence of picture making. It helps me to gain the confidence to draw with a more informed intention of what I'm trying to get across, whatever emotion it may be at the time.
I also posted some drawings from our wednesday class by our house. Jane tries to arrange the most diverse models she can, while still maintaining the quality of a great model. If you haven't gone to this class and you live in the Kansas City area, I strongly suggest you do so, you will not be disappointed.
I hope you all enjoy, a huge thanks goes out to all the models who participated!
All the drawings are 18x 24in.

KC POD Leader for TheArtDepartment.org
After months of preparation and deliberation, John English, president of TAD.ORG, has chosen me to be the main driving force, the fulcrum for the Kansas City, Missouri POD! This is such a huge honor and opportunity to be working along side the dedicated faculty of TAD as well as the impressive students. I look forward to working with you both as I continue down my own path of being the best artist I can be. See you all July 12th!
I started a blog for the KCMO POD, you can find it here or at
